Summary:

Traditional Chinese medicine, regarded as a comprehensive medical system from a scientific perspective, studies the principles of health maintenance, disease prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. In recent years, it has attracted increasing attention from the international community due to its unique theoretical foundations and therapeutic principles. Acupuncture and moxibustion are recognized as treatment methods in 103 member states of the World Health Organization. Laws and regulations related to traditional Chinese medicine have been adopted in 29 countries, and in 18 countries acupuncture and moxibustion have been incorporated into medical insurance systems. More than half of the over 500 Confucius Institutes in 139 countries and regions have opened courses on traditional Chinese medicine and taiji.

The book Traditional Chinese Medicine: Its Application in Treating Diseases Prevalent Abroad introduces physicians who have long been engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases using Chinese medicine to its practical and effective methods, enabling foreign doctors who have acquired theoretical knowledge to successfully apply what they have learned in practice.
